COVID-19 Details

November 2020

The Alice Springs Reptile Centre will be open on Saturdays only from the 17th of October with 2 sessions running for a maximum of 20 people. Each session will run for 2 hours and will include a reptile handling session. The sessions run from 10.30am-12.30pm and 12.30pm-2.30pm. The Alice Springs Reptile Centre requires that you plan your visit with us and book a spot. This has not been the case in the past however due to the COVID-19 restrictions we are only allowed 20 people in our building at any one time. To do this we require that you pre-book your visit as far in advance as possible to allow us to fill our sessions accordingly. Upon booking we will be taking your details such as name, email address and also phone number. These details will be kept for 28 days in a secure location for COVID-19 tracking purposes, after which time these records will be destroyed. You will receive a booking confirmation email on the day before your visit from our staff that will give you all the information that you need to know regarding our new procedures for physical distancing and sanitising whilst in the centre. We also ask that if you are not feeling well in anyway please postpone your visit to another time when you are feeling better, the centre is much more enjoyable when you feel healthy. We also would prefer not to put our staff or other visitors at risk from infection of any kind so please stay home if you are unwell, you will not be charged a cancellation fee and payment is made on arrival so you will not need a refund either.
If you would like to book a place for your group please call the centre on 8952 8900 and speak to our friendly staff, or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Hygiene Procedures

The Alice Springs Reptile Centre has adopted strict hygiene and cleaning practices to aid in easing the spread and risk of COVID-19 infection. All patrons are required to adhere to these rules whilst in the building. All patrons will be asked to stay with their family group and seperate themselves from other groups by at least 1.5m at all times. Visitors will be in the centre for a maximum of 2 hours to allow staff members time to disinifect all surfaces using our antibacterial spray called F10 after they leave in preparation for the next session's participants. This is a veterinary grade disinfectant and will protect against the corona virus. This is applied to all surfaces, chairs, door handles, bathrooms etc. in between sessions. Staff have been briefed on physical distancing measures and the strict hygiene protocols. There are instructions for all patrons throughout the centre on our new restrictions as well as hand santising stations for the use of all members of the public throughout their visit.
We appreciate your compliance, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our friendly staff.
